From the dailycaller.com: "Federal Reserve Bank of New York officials secretly conducted real-time exercises during the 2011 and 2013 debt-limit crisis that demonstrated the federal government could function during a temporary shutdown by prioritizing spending, even as Treasury Secretary Jack Lew publicly claimed many times that such efforts were “unworkable,” according to a new report by the House Financial Services Committee obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation.

The staff report, to be released Tuesday, charges that Lew and other Obama administration officials deliberately misled Congress and the public during the federal budget and debt limit showdowns in both years. The committee will convene a public hearing on the report Feb. 2.
The report also states that the Obama administration crafted actual contingency plans to pay for Social Security and veterans benefits, as well as principal and interest on the national debt if the government was temporarily unable to borrow more money. The Committee concludes that over the last two years the Treasury Department has “obstructed” congressional efforts to get to the bottom of the administration’s real-time policy during the two showdowns.
The Constitution stipulates that only Congress can determine how much money the federal government can borrow. Presidents thus cannot unilaterally spend beyond congressional debt ceiling limits set. The committee — chaired by Republican Rep. Jeb Hensarling of Texas — charged that during both confrontations, the Obama administration held the country’s creditworthiness “hostage” by claiming default was the only possibility if the debit ceiling was not raised.
“These internal documents show the Obama Administration took the nation’s creditworthiness and economy hostage in a cynical attempt to create a crisis so the president could get what he wanted during negotiations over the debt ceiling,” Hensarling said in a statement to be released with the report Tuesday." more

You know you're in trouble when the gated, secure areas get smaller and smaller. Similar to defending a castle from an invading force; the invading force breeches the walls, so you pull back to the inner walls; the invaders breech those so you pull back to the Keep. When the invaders breech the Keep you're fighting hand-to-hand and the odds are not good for you to survive the engagement.

The federal government did NOT take this land from the aboriginals living in North America when the Europeans first landed. The feds took the land (and our Freedoms) unconstitutionally from the sovereign states and We the People. The regime has breeched the contract (Constitution) with We the People multiple times since 1789.

Put in this perspective it doesn't matter the way that Ammon Bundy and his small band of Patriots are behaving by occupying the buildings on the wildlife refuge that the socialist teddy roosevelt decreed in 1908 near Burns Oregon. What matters is the BIG picture. How would you feel if the regime took your land, your livelihood, your birthright because the land or the creatures on it were 'pretty'?

The French have adopted what is clearly a no-nonsense attitude toward radical Islamist terrorism since the Paris attacks and they’re not taking their foot off the gas. As the United States continues to debate over “tone” and how to balance religious liberty and tolerance against domestic security, Francois Hollande’s forces have “cut a few corners” on those subjects and just begun shutting down mosques. At least three of the Muslim houses of worship have been closed already and law enforcement has found a trove of disturbing items among the haul. (Speisa)

Police investigating the Paris terror attacks have shut down three mosques in a series of raids to close the net on Islamic extremists, the Express reports.
Police in France also arrested the owner of a revolver found during Wednesday’s raid, France’s Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said.
Security officials found jihadist documents at the mosque where yesterday’s raids took place.
They have placed nine people under house arrest. Another 22 have been banned from leaving the country Mr Cazeneuve said.

In additon to the mosques, the French have kicked in the doors on 2,235 homes and taken 232 people into custody or placed them on house arrest. More than three hundred weapons were discovered at the mosques. Tom Porter at the International Business Times reports that the trove included 7.62mm ammunition, Kalashnikov rifles and terrorist propaganda videos. And they’re only just getting started more
It seems as if the French have uncovered quite a few islamo-fascists since they suspended civil liberties. I detest the French losing what few actual Freedoms that they have. I do not want we Americans to lose anymore Freedoms--in fact we need to restore the Freedoms that .gov has stolen from us.
There are at least two interesting questions though:
"How will the council on american-islamic relations (cair) explain this away?"
and
"How many mosques here in America are home to treasure-troves of firearms, bomb-making materials, and islamo-fascist anti-freedom materials?"

Two months ago, the State of New York began to enforce, in little baby steps, the SAFE Act.

Today (Wednesday 9 December 2015), we have this announcement posted on AR15dotCoam:

"The New York State Police have launched an investigation into alleged SAFE Act violations and appear to have possession or copies of 4473s showing who purchased firearms. Consider speaking with a lawyer if contacted."

Just exactly where and how the NYSP got hold of 4473s is an interesting question. They either got them from ATF industry operations inspectors or directly from cooperating quisling gun sellers. In any case, it is obvious that the Supreme Court refusal to hear the Chicago case is viewed as a green light to tyrannical gun raids. Isn't this where His Majesty's General Gage started? And how did THAT turn out? We are about to find out if this generation of Americans possesses the same Three Percent that the Founding generation did.

Get ready folks. Make your final pre-war preparations with the slender hours you have left. A storm is coming, and it is about to break over all our heads.
